Made from forged, hallmarked Sterling Silver and set with a large cabochon of Rubilite Tourmaline and a smaller VVS quality cabochon of Rhodilite Garnet.

I had bought the huge cabochon of Rubilite Tourmaline back in 2018 when I saw and fell in love with it. The small cabochon of Garnet I had been given by a jeweller in Jaipur as a gift for commissioning an emerald (my birthstone) ring back in 2005.

Both gems had sat in their respective boxes until I started making jewellery. The Tourmaline was such a glorious gem that I wanted to make a piece of jewellery that really showed it off so taking its shape seemed to be the perfect way of doing that, plus I wanted to keep it simple and elegant as well as fitting with my preferred aesthetic.

The original design did not include the Garnet, that was a later addition when I was humming and hahing over what was wrong. So that was it add the Garnet and the whole piece came to life in a way it hadn’t before. I love synchronicity.

This pendant is 112mm tall, 75mm wide and 13mm deep.
