I had enjoyed making the Ottogano Engagement rings so much that it seemed (eventually) obvious that I should create a wedding band to go with them. Yes, it had to be the same shaped shank, but I wanted to add gems to this ring too.

When I originally sketched out the engagement rings for the Ottogano collection I had thought to put gems on the top two shoulders as well as in the central area above the shank. In the end I decided against that as it seemed a little too cluttered – so why not use that idea for the wedding bands and also add two further gems so that each shoulder is gem set?

Eh voila, simple, colourful and able to be made with a wide variety of gems as the client wants. Plus, the thought behind this ring might have been for a wedding band but there is no reason why these rings can’t be worn for any and all occasions - as sales of this have shown.

This ring is 18mm tall, 18mm wide and 6mm deep.
