Made from four colours of acrylic sheet, Sterling Silver and Aurora Opal. This piece of contemporary jewellery was designed to a brief that was to create a statement brooch inspired by the City of Birmingham, England.

Birmingham has a lot of Brutalist architecture in it, the most famous of which had been the Library - sadly that has been pulled down. I decided to go with the BT Tower as it was nearly as old as me and I loved arrays of cones and dishes that surrounded its upper reaches.

When this was presented the on the BBC2 show All That Glitters to judges Shaun Leane and Dinny Hall, Dinny said it looked like a ‘Disco Dalek’ and the name stuck.

I am offering this brooch as a strict limited edition of 5 - after that there will never be any more.
