I felt that I needed to add something a bit more mainstream to my jewellery and I had never actually designed an engagement ring, so that seemed like an opportunity not to be missed. So how do I create an engagement ring that looks like it is ‘just that’, but also make sure it represents me as a designer? Well after some pondering and lots of sketching the Ottogano Collection of Engagement and Wedding rings was created.
I love doing the unexpected, so even though the overall shape of the ring is not my usual irregular one, the way the gem is set upside down (culet up) plays against the regular (if octagonal) shank. Plus, one gem was not enough, so the ring also has two small round White Topaz at the bottom of the column that holds the Citrine above.
Yes, it’s a tall ring and not one you might want to wear all day, but it most certainly says that someone special thinks you are pretty wonderful.
This ring is 35mm tall, 18mm wide and 6mm deep.
