Moonstone Outline Ring

Moonstone Outline Ring
Made with both hallmarked and textured Sterling Silver and Mokume Gane (Copper, Brass and Silver), this is a statement piece of jewllery.
The shank is wide to support the huge 45ct cabochon of Rainbow Moonstone with Black Tourmaline on top of the finger. That sizes up to a gem that is 24mm across the finger and 36 along it.
I had made another ring back in 2019 that Iwas never really happy with, but I really love the shank, so I removed the other parts and wondered what to do with the shank. I had been playing with the Moonstone a few weeks prior to that and had thought I’d put it into a large brooch, but that was not being what I wanted it to be so set the gem aside.
As soon as I saw the shank and the Moonstone together I knew they’d work - and they did, here is the result.
This ring is size: UK Q 1/2 - US 8 3/4
