Made from synthetic Aurora Opal and lined with Sterling Silver. Finished with Freshwater Pearls set in pierced Sterling Silver radar dishes.

These earrings came about after I had made the largest of the Sputnik rings. Having shaped the block for the ring there were two slices left over and as I played with them in my fingers I could see the possibility of earrings - but inverted from the ring.

What I really enjoyed about these slivers was how translucent they became as I polished them. There is still the sparkle all the way through but a change of intensity towards the bottom of the drop which adds an unexpected delicacy.

These earrings dangle 55mm from the ear piercing, they are 25mm wide and 5mm thick.
